Vertex is Committed to Keeping You Connected

As the pace of digital transformation in our lives and businesses accelerates, the connections we make and nurture become more valuable than ever. While our technological connections are clearly important, the quality of these and other connections are just as crucial. That’s why we’re highlighting the thoughtful, intelligent, trusting and decidedly human nature of the connections our team fosters throughout the year at this week’s Vertex Exchange Conference in Orlando, FL.

Our annual event is designed to strengthen connections among Vertex’s expanding ecosystem of customers, technology partners, consulting firms, systems integrators and thought leaders. These relationships help cultivate the exchange of ideas, leading practices and tax technology and compliance innovations.

The presentations, panel discussions and brainstorming sessions at this year’s Exchange highlight three essential connections:

  1. A Connected Experience: At Vertex, a connected experience means delivering true cohesiveness across every interaction customers have with us during every stage of their business journey. This goes beyond being responsive, to anticipating what customers need before and after they implement one of our solutions. We ensure that our customers and partners are set up for success through a combination of knowledge management and engagement opportunities. Just a couple examples of these activities include expanding our Vertex University offerings with the release of 144 new learning courses and videos so far this year, and the growing interest in the Vertex Certification programme for both customers and partners. Nearly half of this year’s conference attendees have signed up for the programme. In order to provide a connected experience, we believe it is important to provide opportunities to hear from our customers. Our User Group Meetings and Customer Advisory Boards create a great forum for feedback. We also highlighted the value of being named the only SaaS tax software company with IDC recognised for outstanding satisfaction delivered by our customer success and support teams.
  2. Connected Solutions: Vertex continues to build connected solutions that seamlessly integrate data, content and insights through a single cloud platform that enables continuous compliance. While cloud-first strategies underpin most digital transformation efforts, we recognise that cloud migrations are not always an all-or-nothing proposition. Tax transformation is a journey, and many organisations manage their business in a hybrid environment. That’s why Vertex has options to support tax groups regardless of whether they manage tax locally, at the edge or in the cloud. Delivering connected solutions and valuable insights is made possible by our foundational data platform. The data platform will enable our customers to provide data once and to use it across their end-to-end process, providing an unparalleled user experience. A great example of this is Vertex Indirect Tax Intelligence – which is integrated, intelligent and flexible within the Vertex Cloud Platform.
  3. Connected Intelligence: Recently, we’ve been making exciting advances with Generative AI (GenAI) and large language models (LLMs). GenAI will give us the power to augment our most valuable tax resource – humans – while revolutionising how we approach indirect tax software. We are leveraging the use of responsible GenAI into our full technology stack to optimise workflows and elevate user experiences to new heights. Customers will start seeing GenAI assistants (co-pilots) in our user interfaces and have the ability to dial up or down their assistance.

While we have embedded AI in our products for some time, the purpose of our GenAI-related developments is identical to what drives all our innovations and hard work: to take our customers’ connected experience to new levels. While we’re unveiling new ways in which we’re empowering customers throughout this week’s Exchange, our commitment to elevating customer connections is unwavering.
