Vertex at NRF 2025: Retail’s Big Show

The consumer landscape is evolving at an unprecedented pace, with digital transformation reshaping how retailers operate. Today’s omnichannel models, innovative service offerings, and multi-purpose physical stores—serving as showrooms, service centres, and fulfillment hubs—are redefining customer expectations. These complexities demand retail tax solutions that can keep up: those that are flexible, lightning-fast, and improve overall accuracy.

Considering the quickening rate of change occurring in the retail industry, retail tax groups will need to utilize automation solutions to keep pace. That’s one of the reasons why Vertex is a sponsor of The National Retail Federation’s (NRF’s) annual event–NRF 2025: Retail’s Big Show, which takes place in New York, Jan. 12-14.

This year’s gathering will feature an estimated 40,000 attendees, 5,000 brands, 1,000 exhibitors, 450 speakers and 170 sessions. Those sessions will deliver the knowledge, perspectives and breakthroughs that will elevate your role as a true game changer in the ever-evolving world of retail. Whether that be through tech and innovation, business models, brand marketing, customer experiences, merchandising and operations, or talent. Most of these areas come with potentially significant tax planning and compliance implications.

We encourage attendees to register for Vertex sessions and stop by Booth #4133 for a quick “hello” and a chance to win a gift card or Apple AirPod.

We are also hosting two other events: Innovating Over Lunch: Women in Tech with Shopify & Vertex on Monday, January 13 from 12PM–2PM at the Catria Cucina and Bar on 461 W 34th St., VTEX Connect at The Glasshouse Chelsea on January 13 from 5-8PM as well as RETHINK Retail's Gala on January 13 from 7:30-11PM at Lavan Midtown New York on 42nd street.
