Vertex to Host Pup Walk 4 Patriots on September 11th

Registration open; sponsorship and vending opportunities available

Vertex Inc., the leading provider of corporate tax solutions, announced it will host Pup Walk 4 Patriots, a one mile charity dog walk, on September 11, 2016, at Rose Tree Park in Media, Pennsylvania.

The walk will support one of Vertex’s four corporate charities, the Patriot Foundation. Since 2003, the Patriot Foundation has focused on providing college scholarships and aid for children of soldiers from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, who were killed or injured in Iraq or Afghanistan, or in training exercises. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Patriot Foundation’s college scholarship program.

“Vertex is proud to partner with the Patriot Foundation and be part of the incredible support they provide for military families,” said Lauren Breeze, Director of Communications at Vertex. “We hope that Pup Walk 4 Patriots will build awareness of the Patriot Foundation in the local community, as well as raise money for their scholarship fund.” Breeze continued, “It is truly inspiring to hear firsthand from children who benefited from these scholarships, particularly how the support made them feel cared about and gave them motivation to do well in college in their parent’s honor.”

The Pup Walk 4 Patriots event will have activities for the whole family to enjoy, including live music, raffles, local food and craft vendors, a pet psychic, caricature artists, service dog demonstrations, face painting, and more.

Registration is now open: fees are $20 for a single walker, and $30 for a group/family; t-shirts and goodie bags are included. And you don’t have to have a dog to participate – everyone is welcome!
