Vertex Once Again Honored as Top Workplace

Vertex has been named a 2016 Top Workplace by Philly.com, marking the second consecutive year that Vertex received this honor in the large-employer category. The honor, which recognizes companies that operate in the Philadelphia region, is particularly unique because it is determined by employees.

The evaluation process is rigorous: A total of 2,261 organizations were invited to participate in an employee survey by WorkplaceDynamics for Philly.com, which more than 32,000 employees ultimately completed. The survey offered 23 statements covering seven workplace factors, including “organizational health factors” that measure how well employees and employers are working together toward a common goal.

The survey results indicate that connection and alignment are the two most important factors to Philadelphia employees. These factors – “connection” in particular – may ring a bell. Vertex Director of Organizational Development Colleen Kirk recently highlighted our company’s commitment to promoting meaningful work in a post that discussed how organizational purpose is the key to exceptional performance and employee well-being.
