Vertex Hosts Pup Walk 4 Patriots to Benefit The Patriot Foundation

Berwyn, PA

Vertex Inc., the leading supplier of corporate tax solutions, hosted a Pup Walk 4 Patriots to show appreciation for veterans and the sacrifice made by so many to preserve the country’s freedom. The event, attended by more than 200 of people and their dogs in Rose Tree Park in Media, raised funds for The Patriot Foundation. Since 2003, The Patriot Foundation has focused on providing college scholarships and aid for children of soldiers from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, who were killed or injured in Iraq or Afghanistan, or in training exercises. All proceeds from this event will go directly to The Patriot Foundation’s college scholarship program.

Lauren Hart, singer/songwriter and Philadelphia native, attended the event, performed the national anthem and treated the crowd to a 60-minute outdoor concert with her band. The daughter of legendary Hockey Hall of Fame Announcer Gene Hart, known for 30 years as “The Voice of the Flyers,” Lauren sings the national anthem before every Philadelphia Flyers home game.

“The Pup Walk 4 Patriots was a great opportunity for Vertex to get involved in the community and support The Patriot Foundation,” said Amanda Westphal-Radcliffe, director, co-owner and board member at Vertex. “We are honored to support this unique organization that does so much for our soldiers and their families.”
